Age equals Experience. I don't see it this way. What is your view on experience?

I’d argue that Time equals Experience 🕜

My career started as a Web Developer apprentice just over four years ago. Four years later, I Co-founded Think3 alongside Grant, Lee and Luke. Aged 19 at the time.

The idea that Age equals Experience has always baffled me. From the age of 10 or 11, I developed website and small coding projects - not quite extravagant as I do today, but that's beyond the point. The point here is that I started early.

For ten years, I have been and am continue to expand my knowledge, anyone who is a Developer will tell you that this never stops in an ever-changing industry. My understanding and experience in this given subject have continued to grow and develop over time, so if anything - Time equals Experience.

I'm not necessarily saying that Age doesn't equal experience, as in many cases I'm sure that is true. However, if you put in the hours (time) into learning and developing yourself in a given subject - there is a considerable potential that you will become more experienced.

The moral of this story is that no matter a persons age do not assume they are inexperienced. Experience comes with Time.
